As 2023 comes to a close and 2024 sits on the horizon we wanted to take a moment to look ahead to all that may be in store. The past year brought a lot of challenges for the healthcare industry, but the growth journey for SAKS Health continued and we were fortunate to have new clients and team members join our company. As 2024 is right around the corner we wanted to share a few new beginnings we are looking forward to.
With so many things to reflect on, we want to focus on an area that our team is very proud to focus on, pro bono efforts throughout the year! Over the past year we have been able to support multiple nonprofit organizations and participate in community service work. In the spring we fundraised and walked for the Boston Children’s Hospital, an initiative we’ve supported 3 years in a row. Over the course of the year we have been working with a kids sports camp to help them with their online presence and community engagement efforts. And currently we are continuing to host a donation drive for the Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital here in the heart of New Jersey.
Our current donation drive goal is to make a child's time in the hospital less overwhelming by gathering items like Band-Aids, Play-Doh, stickers, and bubbles so that when kids have to spend time in the hospital there are ways to bring a little cheer into their lives. Be it from a fun band-aid pattern to an activity with Play-Doh. If you would like to donate, please visit our Amazon WishList to purchase an item or two. Your purchase will automatically be sent to us at SAKS Health and in January we will bring all the donations over to the hospital.
As we look ahead to 2024 we are excited to expand on our community service work and continue to strengthen our connections we are already fostering. Team members are encouraged to recommend organizations and activities that could benefit from our pro bono support.
On the business side the past two years have seen a lot of change but this past year has seen our industry starting to shift back to more of a normal. Clinical trials that were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and other global challenges, resumed with more potential approvals lining up for 2024 and beyond. The gap that was created in clinical trial recruitment of patients and data generating has pushed onwards.
As we look ahead to 2024 we are excited to see the advancement in innovative therapies coming and having the opportunity to partner with clients making those therapies happen.
